The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has awarded Pacifico Energy the development of the 76.8 MW solar photovoltaic project in the Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.
Pacifico secured the project after offering a tariff of JPY9.86 per kWh (US$0.073 per kWh). The project is expected to begin commercial operation in 2027.
The company was announced as a winner during Japan´s 12th Solar Auction, other winners in the feed-in-premium (FIP) category are X-Elio and Kokusai Energy. METI has also announced the 13th solar auction with a total capacity of 225 MW.
