Eurus Energy cuts ribbon at 20 MW repowered Tomamae Wind Farm

Eurus Energy Holdings Corp has held a ceremony to open a 20 MW wind park it repowered in Tomamae, Hokkaido, Japan.

The company has replaced 19 Siemens Gamesa and one Toshiba turbines with five new GE 4.2-MW units. The wind farm became operational in November 1999 and was Eurus’ first commercial wind power project in Japan.

The wind farm’s output will be sold to local utility Hokkaido Electric Power Co Inc. (HEPCO).
