Hokkaido Electric Power Network, Inc. (HEPN) is a Japanese electric utility company responsible for the transmission and distribution of electricity in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan. It was established in April 2020 as a separate company from Hokkaido Electric Power Company (HEPCO) due to the legal separation of the transmission and distribution sector in Japan. HEPN is owned by HEPCO and is responsible for maintaining and operating over 85,000 km of power lines and 2.7 million distribution facilities throughout Hokkaido. HEPN transmits and distributes electricity generated by HEPCO and other power producers to homes, businesses, and industries in Hokkaido.
