Pacifico Energy Korea, a U.S.-based renewable energy company, announced that its Manho Offshore Wind Project and Jindo Baram Offshore Wind Project have been selected as the sole developers of the 2.13GW Jindo Offshore Wind Integrated Cluster Phase 2 off the coast of Jindo County in South Korea.
The selection follows the signing of an Implementation Management Agreement between the Manho and Jindo Baram Projects, Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City (formerly South Jeolla Province), and Jindo County for the Jindo Integrated Cluster Phase 2. Led by Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City as the implementing authority, Jindo Integrated Cluster Phase 2 is a government-designated 2.13 GW offshore wind development area comprising the Manho and Jindo Baram Projects. The cluster is located offshore of Jindo County in Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City, South Korea.
The Manho and Jindo Baram Offshore Wind Projects represent the second and third phases of Pacifico Energy Korea’s 3.2 GW Jindo Offshore Wind Project Cluster. The cluster’s first phase, the 420 MW Myeong Ryang Offshore Wind Project, obtained its Electricity Business License in September 2025 and completed its preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment in March 2026. Meanwhile, the 990 MW Manho Offshore Wind Project and 1.8 GW Jindo Baram Offshore Wind Project have both submitted applications for Electricity Business Licenses, which are currently under review.
The selection of the Manho and Jindo Baram Projects through the implementing institution’s rigorous evaluation process is expected to accelerate the development of Jindo Integrated Cluster Phase 2, while enhancing regional industrial competitiveness and energy self-sufficiency. It is also anticipated to increase the supply of large-scale renewable energy in the region and support the future development of RE100 industrial complexes and advanced manufacturing facilities.
