Evoltz, a unit of Texas Pacific Group (TPG Group), has entered into an agreement to acquire a 49.5% stake in Manaus Transmissora de Energia (MTE) from Eletrobras.
The BRL232 million (US$43.63 million) deal will be subjected to the approval of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE).
MTE is a special-purpose company (SPV) that owns and operates a transmission line in the North region of Brazil.
