The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) of Brazil has approved the sale of equity interest in 583 MW wind portfolio in the state of Rio Grande do Sul owned by Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (Eletrobras) to Omega Geracao SA.
The deal includes the sale of a 78% stake in the Eolica Santa Vitoria do Palmar and a 99.99% interest in the Hermenegildo I, II, III, and Chui IX special purpose companies (SPEs).
The transaction is expected to value up to BRL1.5 billion (US$2.79 billion) including the assumption of debt.
