Omega Geracao SA, a Brazilian renewable energy developer, is set to start the development and construction of its 212 MW Assurua 4 wind project in the state of Bahia.
Through its unit Omega Desenvolvimento (OMD), Omega Geracao has inked a contract to supply wind turbines for the project. The purchase includes an option for an additional 220 MW Assurua 5.
The installations of wind turbines are expected to start in 2021 while the commercial operation is set to start in 2022.
