The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) of Brazil has approved without restriction the purchase of Omega Geracao SA of the 303 MW Assurua wind park located in Gentio do Ouro, Bahia.
The project, consists of 131 wind turbines, is made up of 13 different wind farms. It has been in operation since February 2018 and has a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
The deal was secured with Fundo de Investimentos em Participacoes (FIP IEER), the investment fund of Companhia de Energias Renovaveis (CER) for a total consideration of about BRL1.9 billion (US$ 504.18 million), including cash payment and a little over BRL 1 billion in assumed net debt.
