Aneel green lights operation of 118.5 MW renewable energy projects

The national power sector regulator of Brazil, Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL), has allowed the start test and commercial operations of seven renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 118.5 MW. 

The projects involved are the following:

  • 3 MW PCH Fortuna II hydro power project in Minas Gerais
  • 5 MW Sola Maior 2 solar PV project in Tocantins
  • 15 MW Umburanas 11 wind project in Bahia
  • 25 MW Umburanas 19 wind project in Bahia
  • 23 MW Sao Bento do Norte I and II wind project in Rio Grande do Norte
  • 24.3 MW Delta 6 II wind project in Maranhao
