Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc (ORIT) has completed the acquisition of an additional 7.75% stake in the 270 MW Lincs Offshore Wind Farm project from a fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management.
The project consists of 75 3.6-MW wind turbines installed across 35 sq. km. of an area about 8 km off the Lincolnshire Coast at Skegness in the UK. The wind farm has been in operation since 2013 and secured a long-term fixed price inflation-linked revenue arising from the UK's ROC (Renewables Obligation Certificate) regime.
ORIT now owns a total of 15.5% stake in the project with the fund managed by Macquarie retaining a 44% stake in Lincs.
