BayWa r.e. UK Limited and Grϋne Energien Solar (GE) have secured a planning permission for the 49.9 MW Perrinpit Road Solar Farm in South Gloucestershire, UK. The solar farm would generate sufficient renewable energy to power 15,000 houses.

The project features a green corridor that extends from north to south. Within this corridor, 30 acres of new grassland and wildflower meadow will be planted to enhance biodiversity and offer habitats for species. In addition, fresh wildflower meadows and roughly 1,700 m of additional hedgerow will be planted within the site's perimeter. Also, new wildflowers and a grass mixture will be planted beneath and around the solar panels, and 99 new trees will be planted in the site.
