Goldbeck Solar has officially begun construction on the 48 MWp Perrinpit Road Solar Farm near Bristol, in partnership with Octopus Energy Generation.
Spanning approximately 63 hectares, the project will feature around 77,948 bifacial solar panels and 126 inverters, designed to generate roughly 49,200 MWh of clean electricity annually—enough to power about 12,900 UK households and reduce CO₂ emissions by nearly 6,100 tons each year. To ensure environmental protection, the development includes measures such as timing earthworks to avoid bird breeding seasons and implementing habitat restoration post-construction. Scheduled for completion in April 2026, this represents Goldbeck Solar’s fourth-largest UK project since re-entering the market in 2022, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy deployment through bifacial technology.
