JUWI and wiwi consult have completed the sale of the 22.4 MW Biebelnheim-Gabsheim wind farm project in Germany to Octopus Energy Generation.
The wind farm, now under construction with wiwi as the contractor, is situated near Frankfurt in Worrstadt. It is scheduled to be completed in 2023. The 22.4 MW wind facility comprises four 241 m tall Vestas turbines.
Octopus Energy Generation has also agreed to purchase the 34.6 MW Leeskow wind farm in Oberspreewald-Lausitz, close to Dresden from UKA. In September, the facility with seven Nordex wind turbines became fully operational. Together, these two wind farms will be able to power over 41,000 homes, which is comparable to annually avoiding over 55,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
