Vestas has been awarded a turbine supply contract for the development of the 66 MW Lensahner Berg/Gaarz wind farm project located in the northeast of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The wind farm will be equipped with 11 V162-6.2 MW turbines in 6.0 MW operating mode with 119 m towers. The project is promoted by Gaarz IV Windkraft GmbH & Co. KG, and three smaller project companies.
The supply order includes a 25-year full maintenance contract (AOM 5000) to maximize annual energy production. The delivery and installation of the wind turbines are expected to start in Q3 of 2023, while commissioning is expected to be completed before Q4 2023.
