The Nordex Group has secured a turbine supply order from wpd for the 31.5 MW Kantow wind project being built in Brandenburg, about 90 km northwest of Berlin, Germany.
The wind farm will be equipped with seven N149/4.X turbines from the Delta4000 series. The turbines with a rated output of 4.5 MW will be installed on hybrid towers with a hub height of 164 meters in summer 2023. In addition, the order includes a premium service contract for the maintenance of the turbines over a period of 15 years, with an extension option for an additional five years.
wpd has secured the Kantow wind project in spring 2022 as part of the tender round of the Federal Network Agency “Onshore Wind Energy”.
