Ingeteam SA has completed the installation of a 10 MW/20 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
The BESS is controlled by Global Power Generation (GPG), a Naturgy Energy Group SA and Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) joint venture, and is connected to the 109 MW Berrybank 2 wind farm in the Australian state of Victoria.
Ingeteam delivered two power conversion systems, four 2.5 MW/5 MWh battery storage containers, and the control system for the ACT storage facility. Ingeteam's local subsidiary is responsible for operation and maintenance.
