ACEN has made a final investment decision (FID) on the 400 MW Stubbo Solar photovoltaic (PV) project in New South Wales, Australia, following an investment of AUD800 million (US$518.5 million) from the parent company ACEN Corporation for the development of the solar farm.

ACEN also awarded a contract for the supply of PV panels and signed a deal with Lumea Pty Limited for the PV plant's power grid connection.

Stubbo Solar is located in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone in the Mid-Western Regional Council region. Its development permit includes provisions for a 200 MWh battery energy storage system. Construction is scheduled to commence by the end of 2022.
