ACEN Corporation, formerly known as AC Energy, has committed up to AUD$800 million (US$517.12 million) towards the construction of the 400 MW Stubbo Solar Farm project in New South Wales, Australia. The project will also include a 200 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system.

ACEN has already approved its Australian company to enter into photovoltaic (PV) module supply contracts for the Stubbo Solar Farm, which development is anticipated to begin later this year. It will consist of roughly 800,000 solar modules set on single-axis trackers and distributed across a 1,250-ha location approximately 10 km north of Gulgong and 115 km east of Dubbo.

When completed, the Stubbo Solar Farm will generate more than one million MWh of solar energy, enough to power more than 150,000 homes and contribute to a reduction of at least 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
