Grenergy files environmental permit for 40 MW Tamango solar project in Maule

Grenergy Renovables has applied for an environmental permit to establish a 40 MW solar photovoltaic project, referred to as Tamango, in Maule, Chile.

Located in the Retiro commune, Grenergy will set up more than 80,000 solar modules, each of 600 W, over a 74.41-hectare (183.9 acres) area.

Construction of the US$33 million project is scheduled in June 2022, while the commercial operation is seen to begin in February 2023.
