AES requests environmental approval for 258 MW Rinconada wind project in Biobio

Latin American power company AES Gener has plans to build a 258 MW onshore wind farm in the Chilean region of Biobio.

Paperwork for the environmental review shows that the company intends to invest US$365 million to realize the Rinconada wind project together with a 7.65 km transmission line to connect the project with the Santa Clara substation.

The wind farm's construction is expected in December 2023.
