Mainstream Renewable Power has inaugurated its Rio Escondido solar photovoltaic farm in Chile, which has an installed capacity of 145 MW.

Rio Escondido has more than 436,000 solar panels, arranged over 430 hectares in the district of Tierra Amarilla in the Atacama Region. It is one of four assets comprising the 571 MW Condor portfolio, which commenced energization in July.

The PV solar farm will provide energy enough to power 194,000 homes and displaces approximately 185,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
