DTE Energy has signed a clean energy supply agreement with Ford Motor Company through DTE’s MIGreenPower program in Michigan, USA.
By 2025, DTE plans to add a total of 650 MW of new solar energy capacity to supply clean power for the operation of Ford Motor. DTE’s MIGreenPower program is among the largest voluntary renewable energy programs in the USA having more than 600 businesses along with more than 62,000 residential customers enrolled in the program. It is equivalent to a total of 2.8 million MWh of clean energy annually.
Ford Motor plans to achieve carbon neutrality globally by 2050.
