YPF Luz has completed the second stage of the Los Teros Wind Farm located in the town of Azul, Province of Buenos Aires, and added 52 MW to the 123 MW of installed power of the first stage, which is in operation since 2020. Reaching a total capacity of 175 MW, the wind farm generates enough energy to supply the need of about 215,000 homes.
With an investment of US$235 million, the Los Teros Wind Farm contains 45 wind turbines installed in a total area of 3,610 hectares. It has the capacity to produce 838 GWh per year and thus avoid the emission of more than 400,000 tons of CO2.
From the Los Teros Wind Farm, YPF Luz supplies electricity to companies such as Toyota, Coca-Cola FEMSA, Nestlé, Profertil, Holcim, Santander, Ford, Roca, Hyatt, and YPF, among others.
