Argentine power and gas company, Genneia SA, begins commercial operation of its 57.66 MW Chubut Norte III wind farm in Puero Madryn, Chubut.
The US$81 million project includes 13 turbines of 4.4 MW each supplied by German manufacturer Nordex SE and will supply electricity to Pan American Energy (PAE).
Both projects- Chubut Norte III and Chubut Norte IV- secured power purchase agreements (PPAs) in Argentina’s RenovAR round 2. Together they already generate energy with a total installed power of 140 MW and have an annual production capacity of 669,100 MWh of renewable energy.
