Genneia and Pan American Energy (PAE) has started the commercial operation of the 83 MW Chubut Norte IV wind farm located in Puerto Madryn City, Chubut, Argentina.
The US$120 million project features 19 units of 4.4 MW wind turbines, supplied by Nordex SE, and will supply electricity to Pan American Energy (PAE).
The project is expected to generate about 399,100 MWh annually, enough to supply the demand of up to 130,000 homes.
In 2017, Genneia has been awarded a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) of US$38.90/MWh for the construction of the project in Argentina's international renewable energy tender RenovAr 2.
