The industrial group Petroquimica Comodoro Rivadavia SA (PRC) in Argentina has been granted approval to commence the operation of the San Jorge y El Mataco wind complex and service its power to the grid.
The project, located in Buenos Aires, is part of the RenovAr 2 renewable energy auction. It will operate under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) awarded by the Compania Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Electrico S.A. (Cammesa) for US$40.27 per MWh
The wind farm consists of the San Jorge and El Mataco wind projects with individual operating capacities of 100 MW. The two projects operate as one.
