Cordillera Solar VIII, the company operating 100 MW Guañizuil II-A photovoltaic solar park in the province of San Juan in Argentina was authorized to enter as a generating agent of the wholesale electricity market (MEM).
Norway's Scatec and Equinor, the developers of the Guanizuil II-A solar project have signed the PPA with Argentine Wholesale Electricity Market Management Company (CAMMESA) for US$50 per MWh. The solar plant will be connected to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) at a 132-kV level linked to the Bauchaceta transformer station.
The project is expected to generate about 308,000 MWh of energy per year.
