Grupo Bimbo offtakes power from Genneia's Argentine wind farms

Grupo Bimbo and Genneia have signed a Power Purchase Agreement for the wind plants in Argentina. Through the private market Mercado a Termino de Energías Renovables (Mater), Genneia will supply, with its renewable energy production, the demand for the five plants and 15 sales and distribution centers of the Bimbo Group in (five in the Province of Buenos Aires and one in the Province of Córdoba). The wind farms that will be made available for this agreement are the Villalonga II wind farm (3.5 MW), Pomona II (11.7 MW), and Chubut Norte II (26.28 MW).

The initiative has a clean energy supply contract that lasts 15 years, with an approximate annual volume of 32,000 MWh / year, which will come from wind energy. This agreement reduces the emission of greenhouse gases by 14,400 tons of CO2e per year.
