Genneia and Centrales de la Costa Atlantica SA have received the first tranche of US$51 million loan granted by FMO for the construction of the 38 MW Necochea 1 wind project in Argentina.
Located in Buenos Aires, the project involves the development of a 38 MW wind farm which is comprised of 11 turbines. The facility generates 158,000 MW annually, which is equivalent to producing clean energy for more than 52 thousand homes and avoids the emission of 79 thousand tons of CO2.
The disbursement was made by FMO. The project finance is guaranteed by EKF, the Danish Export Credit Agency.
