Genneia SA has secured an authorization from Administrative Company of Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico SA (CAMMESA), to start the commercial operations of the 38 MW Vientos de Necochea 1 wind project on February 15.
The US$62 million project is located in Buenos Aires, featuring 11 wind turbines with an individual capacity of 3.45 MW. The wind farm is expected to generate enough power to meet the annual demand of more than 52,000 homes and avoiding the emission of 79 thousand tons of CO2, annually.
The company Vientos de Necochea SA is a subsidiary controlled by Centrales de la Atlántica (50%) and Genneia SA (50%).
