Argentina government awarded contracts for RenovAr 2 RE auction winners

The Government of Argentina, through its Ministry of Energy and Mines, has awarded contracts for the winners of the RenovAr 2 renewable energy auction. The contracts involve one wind, one biomass and two biogas projects with a total combined capacity of 210.32 MW. The companies being awarded are the following: 

  • Petroquimica Comodoro Rivadavia SA for the 200 MW San Jorge – El Mataco wind project in Buenos Aires
  • Resener SA for the 0.72 MW CT Resener I biogas project in Buenos Aires
  • Alcovil SA for the 3 MW CT Citrusvil biogas project in Tucuman
  • Unitan S.A.I.C.A for the 6.6 MW CT Biomasa Unitan biomass project in Chaco
