Centrica and Delfin Midstream Inc. have signed the Heads of Agreement to purchase 1.0 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for 15 years on a Free on Board (FOB) basis at the Delfin Deepwater Port, about 40 nautical miles off the coast of Louisiana, USA.
The deal will help facilitate Delfin's Final Investment Decision (FID) for its planned floating LNG export hub in the USA by end of 2022 with a target operation in 2026. The contract between the two companies is about GBP7 billion (US$8.46 billion).
