Envision Energy and Menderes Tekstil have entered into a strategic partnership to develop the 120 MW Beğendik Wind Power Project in Edirne Province, Türkiye. The agreement was announced during Envision Tech Day, held alongside the Turkish Wind Energy Congress, where both companies also signed a broader Strategic Cooperation Agreement to strengthen long-term collaboration in renewable energy development.
The Beğendik project is considered one of Envision Energy’s flagship renewable energy initiatives in Türkiye. It will feature 15 units of Envision’s EN-182/8.0MW wind turbines and is expected to generate nearly 360 million kWh of clean electricity annually. The project is also projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 225,000 tons each year, supporting Türkiye’s national decarbonization and net-zero objectives while increasing the share of renewable power in the country’s electricity grid.
Under the collaboration, Envision Energy will supply advanced wind turbine technology and provide integrated lifecycle solutions that include equipment manufacturing, project execution, and long-term operational support. A 15-year operations and maintenance agreement has also been signed, highlighting Envision’s commitment to ensuring efficient performance, operational reliability, and long-term value creation throughout the project’s lifecycle.
ENERCON will supply the turbine technology for 161 MW Balıkesir 1" wind farm in the northwest of Turkiye.
