ENERCON has signed an agreement with RT Enerji to supply 20 units of its E-175 EP5 E2 turbines for a 140 MW wind energy project in Türkiye, with the contract announced at the WindEurope 2026 in Madrid.
ENERCON is delivering 20 units of its flagship E-175 EP5 E2 turbines for the large-scale ‘Aydın–Denizli Wind Farm’ project in western Türkiye. The 140 MW development forms part of the YEKA 5 tender, under which RT Enerji recently secured the contract from the Turkish Ministry of Energy.
As ENERCON’s latest top-tier turbine, the E-175 EP5 E2 features a nominal capacity of 7.0 MW and a rotor diameter of 175 metres, placing it among the highest-performing onshore wind turbines in Europe. It also represents a cornerstone of the company’s market strategy, forming the backbone of its product portfolio used to support customers across key projects. The supply agreement for the ‘Aydın–Denizli Wind Farm’ represents the introduction of the E-175 EP5 E2 into the Turkish market. Construction of the project is planned to start in April 2027, with commissioning targeted for the end of October 2027. A total of 20 wind turbines will be installed, each mounted on steel towers with hub heights of 112 metres.
