Polat Enerji has awarded a contract to Rolls-Royce to supply a 132 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to be installed at Polat’s 118 MW Goktepe wind power plant in Yalova, northwestern Turkey.
Polat Energy, a renewable energy developer based in Istanbul, has entered into Turkey's largest BESS supply agreement with Rolls-Royce. The mtu QG EnergyPack will be incorporated into the Göktepe Wind Power Plant, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply from renewable sources to the grid. Polat Energy is a prominent player in Turkey's renewable energy sector, accounting for approximately 6% of the nation’s installed wind energy capacity with a total output of around 660 MW.
