Exergy International has signed an agreement with Hez Enerji for the design, engineering, and supply of the 24 MWe Bilecik HEZ Morali JES-1 geothermal binary project in Aydin, Turkey. The planned delivery of the ORC power plant is set for Q2 of 2024, with start-up expected before the end of the year.
Exergy will oversee the design, engineering, and supply of the Bilecik HEZ Morali JES-1 plant. The binary system's design consists of a cycle with two radial outflow turbines (ROT) of 12 MWe each and an air-cooled condensing system.
Hez Enerji is an energy company with nine geothermal license areas under development, reaching a total of 42,434 hectares in the Aydin, Manisa, Denizli, Bilecik, and Nigde regions. Since 2016, the company has been developing its production wells to exploit the estimated geothermal potential of these license areas which account for an approximate total of 300 MWe capacity.
