Turbines supply agreement signed for 260 MW Onshore wind Farm in Turkey

Enercon has signed an agreement with Kalyon Enerji to supply and install 64 units of its E-138 EP3 wind turbines for the 260 MW Yeka Res-3 wind projects in Turkey. The wind farms will be located across Elazığ, Bilecik, Bayburt, Ankara, and Trabzon regions.

All of the main components of the wind turbines, except the nacelles, will be produced in Turkey. Kalyon Enerji will develop and operate the wind farms according to the tender specifications. The project is expected to help Kalyon Enerji achieve its goal of generating at least 5 GW of solar and wind projects by 2026.

With the Enercon-Kalyon Enerji partnership, the Turkish government aims to increase renewable energy's share in its energy mix, meeting its target of generating 65% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025.
