Envision Energy has secured an order from REE Energy to supply wind turbines for the 200 MW Phu Cuong 1A and 1B nearshore wind project in Can Tho, Vietnam.
The Phu Cuong 1A and 1B project will deploy 25 Envision EN-226/8.X YE wind turbines, with batch deliveries scheduled to begin in Q2 of 2027 and grid connection targeted for October 2027. Designed for the low- to medium-wind conditions prevalent in Vietnam’s nearshore areas and across Southeast Asia, the turbines offer proven technology, high adaptability to site conditions and dependable long-term performance. These features are expected to optimize energy generation and enhance the project’s long-term value. The development could also serve as a scalable model for turbine selection, engineering, project execution, and long-term operations and maintenance, helping raise industry standards, promote quality-focused wind development and accelerate the clean energy transition across ASEAN.
The Phu Cuong 1A and 1B projects represent Envision Energy’s second major collaboration with REE Group, following the successful progress of the 128 MW Vinh Long wind projects. The first batch of turbines for Vinh Long completed production at the end of April 2026, with all wind turbine units being delivered to the project site in scheduled batches.
