China Everbright Environment Group Limited (Everbright Environment) has completed the construction works of the Hue Waste-to-energy Project in Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam.
The Hue Project, Everbright Environment's second integrated environmental management facility in Vietnam, spans around 11 ha. With an investment of roughly USD74.55 million, it can process about 220,000 tonnes of household waste annually and produce around 80 million kWh of on-grid green electricity. Notably, it received the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council. This project is significant as it represents the first modernized waste-to-energy initiative jointly developed by local government authorities and enterprises in central Vietnam. It also serves as a milestone for Everbright Environment in supporting and aligning with China's "Belt and Road" Initiative.
