Levanta Renewables (Levanta), Actis’ pan-Southeast Asia renewable energy platform, has announced the acquisition of an 80% stake in a fully operational 50 MW onshore wind project in Gia Lai Province, Vietnam.
The asset generates more than 150 GWh of renewable electricity annually and supplies power to the state-owned Vietnam Electricity (EVN) under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). This transaction enhances Levanta’s footprint in one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing renewable markets and underscores its commitment to supporting Vietnam’s energy transition goals.
The acquisition marks Levanta’s fifth completed transaction in the region and brings the company’s total operating renewable energy capacity to around 400 MW. When including assets under construction and contracted developments, the platform’s regional portfolio exceeds 750 MW, moving it closer to its target of 1.5 GW of operating capacity by 2028. The company is also advancing approximately 300 MW of additional projects in Vietnam under the country’s Power Development Plan VIII, expected to come online within the next two to three years. Leadership from Levanta has emphasized that Vietnam is a strategically important market and that the deal reflects a disciplined, risk-managed approach to scaling clean energy investment across Southeast Asia.
