WEG SA has secured a contract from CGT Eletrosul, a subsidiary of utility Eletrobras, to supply wind turbines for the 302.4-MW Coxilha Negra wind project located in Sant'Ana do Livramento, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
WEG SA will be supplying 72 units of its 4.2-MW turbines and be in charge of logistics, assembly, and commissioning, as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project. The delivery of the equipment is expected in 2023-2024.
CGT Electrosul will invest up to BRL 2.1 billion (US$419.19 million) in the project.
