Total Eren has commissioned the Terra Santa (92.3 MW) and Maral (67.5 MW) onshore wind farms in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
Terra Santa (92.3 MW) and Maral (67.5 MW) both hold 20-year private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Cemig Geração e Transmissão (Cemig GT), one of the largest power generators and distributors in Brazil. Both wind projects together have the capacity to generate 730 GWh per year, which is enough to supply the needs of more than 400,000 households in Brazil.
Total Eren signed Turbine Supply Agreements with Siemens Gamesa on October 15th, 2019, for 45 generators of 3.55 MW nominal capacity. The construction phase of wind farms had created 1,650 local jobs.
In the year 2019, the BRL423 million (USD79.42 million) long-term financing with a 22-year maturity had been secured from Banco do Nordeste (BNB). The total investment of the Terra Santa and Maral facilities amounts to BRL829 million (USD154 million).
