Vena Energy has started the commercial operation of the 47 MW Nakasato wind farm located on the outskirts of Nakadomari Town in Aomori Prefecture, Japan.
The facility consists of 13 wind turbines installed on about 24 ha of land that is designed to generate enough power for up to 22,000 local homes annually. The project is expected to offset about 61,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
Currently, Vena Energy has a total of 32 solar and wind energy projects under operation across Japan, totaling 715 MW.
