Toda Corporation has commissioned Vestas to supply turbines for the development of its 50 MW SGET Iwaizumi Wind Farm project located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan.
The wind project will consist of 12 units of V117-4.2 MW wind turbines. Toda Corporation will construct the wind farm on behalf of SPARX Green Energy & Technology, a unit of SPARX Group, which owns the project.
The turbine supply order includes supply and supervision of installation of turbines of which 9 will be installed on 114-meter towers and the other 3 on 84 m towers. Vestas will also deliver 20 years of Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service for the wind farm. The delivery of the turbines will begin in Q2 of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for Q3 of 2025.
