Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has formed strategic alliances with the Japanese government and other enterprises to develop hydrogen and other decarbonization projects.
Among the partnerships are a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), Sojitz Corporation, IHI Corporation, and commencement of Pre-FEED studies to further the development of hydrogen imports via methylcyclohexane, a type of liquid organic hydrogen carrier under the MOU signed with Mitsubishi Corporation and Chiyoda Corporation in October 2021.
Sembcorp Industries' earnings and net asset value per share for the year ending December 31, 2022 are not expected to be affected by the signed agreements.
