Summit Ridge Energy (SRE) and Qcells have announced three standalone energy storage projects in New York City, USA. As part of New York State's Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program, the Staten Island and Brooklyn-located plants will generate roughly 12 MW and 46 MWh of energy capacity.
QCells will provide energy storage hardware and energy management software for the projects, including its Geli energy management system (EMS) to improve asset performance per VDER program criteria.
The projects are currently under construction and are anticipated to be operational by early 2023.
