Summit Ridge Energy has announced a 1.2 GW module order with Qcells, making it the largest equipment purchase in the US community solar market's history. The order also includes 20 MWh of Qcells Geli energy storage systems. The partnership aims to bring US-made clean energy projects to communities, both large and small. The deal will support the development of 350 solar projects in the future.

US Vice President Kamala Harris commemorated the agreement, stating that the largest community solar order in American history was made possible by the administration's investments to expand American manufacturing and increase demand for clean energy. Harris further mentioned that investing in climate, clean energy, and manufacturing is equivalent to investing in America, and the administration will continue to fight to create opportunities in every community.

Summit Ridge Energy’s latest order is a major step in expanding its partnership with Qcells, as both companies aim to contribute to America's clean energy transition. The development is expected to facilitate the delivery of US-made clean energy projects to communities in the years ahead, reducing the carbon footprint and providing affordable energy options to more households.
