Norwegian state-owned energy company Statkraft AS is set to break ground for the construction of a 519 MW wind complex in Brazil by January 2021.
The company will invest up to BRL.5 billion (US$444.6 million) for the development of the project. The project will consist of 14 wind farms, 91 total wind turbines with 5.7-MW each capacity provided by Nordex.
The wind complex is expected to commence its commercial operation by 2023.
