Norwegian power utility and developer Statkraft A/S has entered into an agreement with Greencoat Renewables Plc and a pension fund managed by Greencoat Capital for the sale of the 80.5 MW South Meath solar photovoltaic project in County Meath, Leinster, Ireland.
Greencoat Renewables Plc will acquire 50% of the interest in the project while the remaining stake will be purchased in partnership with a pension fund, which is investing through a fund also managed by Greencoat Capital LLP. The project is currently under construction with a target commissioning by Q4 2023.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
