Irish utility ESB has started the commercial operation of its 19 MW/38 MWh battery energy storage system located in Aghada, Cork County, Ireland.
ESB has partnered with Fluence Energy to develop the project which aims to provide grid stability. The project is the first in the pipeline of energy storage systems that will be constructed in Cork and Dublin.
